Inland heat changes the whole job
Concord runs twenty degrees hotter than the coast for most of the summer, and that shows up indoors. Dust arrives dry and fine instead of settling damp, so it drifts onto every surface and back into the air the moment you disturb it. Air conditioning runs constantly, which means the return vents and filters collect far more than they would in a coastal home. We work top-down with that in mind and treat vents and returns as a standing item here rather than an annual extra.
Ranch homes with a lot of horizontal surface
Most of Concord is single-story tract housing from the fifties through the seventies. On paper the square footage looks modest, but it is all spread out on one level, with long hallways, wide sills and plenty of sliding glass. That is more floor and more glass per bedroom than a two-story house of the same size, and we quote from the layout rather than the bedroom count.
Families, and the surfaces that come with them
This is a household-with-kids town. Switch plates, door handles, stair rails, the underside of the kitchen table and the tracks of the patio door do more for a home like that than another pass on the countertop. Fragrance-free products are the default here, not something you have to ask for.
