What's different about cleaning here
Delta wind delivers dust all year
The wind coming up off the Delta is constant and it carries fine grit onto anything facing it. Window screens, sills, patio doors and outdoor-facing glass collect it far faster than sheltered inland neighbourhoods. Wiped monthly it comes off easily; left for a season it has to be scrubbed. We keep those on the standing list here.
Summer heat keeps dust in the air
Pittsburg regularly runs well past 100°F, so dust stays dry and airborne instead of settling, and air conditioning recirculates it through the house all day. Vents, returns and filter housings collect more here than almost anywhere else we work, and they get checked on recurring visits rather than once a year.
New builds and Old Town want opposite things
San Marco and the newer hillside developments have engineered floors, tall entryways and a lot of glass. Old Town has genuinely old houses with original trim and small rooms. We look at what the house actually is before deciding what to bring.
